Lithium: Concert Review

Wednesday night, I found myself in a quaint suburb in Pickering. Framed by elegant old world charm, the parking lot was a teaser for the Shakespearean-like courtyard. The Lion and Dragon Pub sat arched above an outdoor patio laced with comfy metal chairs and a canopied stage. Pickering natives “Lithium” took the stage with a casual confidence. They rattled the small township with the first notes of RHCP’s “Californiacation.”

The night was an energy filled set of Rock favourites. The cover-band’s repertoire consisted of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Bon Jovi. At their strongest, they mastered a handful of AC/DC songs with just as much grit and attitude as the original rockers!

I look forward to hearing the original material Lithium is developing and can’t wait to see it injected into their high-octane performance next time!
